1944-1945

In 1944, Columbia paired these two for a series of comedies that lasted until Langdon's death later that year. After Langdon died, El Brendel was dropped from the studio. In between the shorts DEFECTIVE DETECTIVES and MOPEY DOPE (both released in 1944), Brendel co-starred with Shemp Howard in PICK A PECK OF PLUMBERS (1944).
