1938-1939
Joe Smith and Charlie Dale, longtime partners in vaudeville, came to Hollywood in 1938 to appear in 2 shorts under the direction of Charley Chase. It is said that Jules White was not a very big fan of the team, so their stay at Columbia was brief.

MUTINY ON THE BODY (2/10/39) D: Charley Chase. Chester Conklin, Guy Usher, Vernon Dent, Cy Schindell, Majorie Deanne. Joe and Charlie, owners of the Klassy Korset Company, go to a sanitarium for the rest and relaxation. TRIVIA: Remade with the Three Stooges as MONKEY BUSINESSMEN (1946).
